First week of Conference games

Well there was another spectacular weekend in College Football this weekend. First off how about those Gorillas?!?! HAHA I love when we beat Northwest! Anyway, The week was not without its great  games and those games that were entirely one sided. For the second straight week Oklahoma who was the #1 ranked team dropped one spot to #3 in the rankings without a loss. Also for the second straight week, Texas A&M blew a large lead in the second half to lose to Arkansas. There was only one matchup of then top 10 ranked teams when Nebraska took to the road for its first B1G game in the Big Ten conference to Wisconsin. Wisconsin handled them soundly in every aspect of the game to dominate and welcome Nebraska to the conference. SMU jumped all over TCU who in years past has been the BCS buster, but looks to have suffered from graduation and people leaving for the NFL. Alabama took to the road and visited the Swamp down at Florida. Florida looked to have everything going their way early on, then Bama came on and made the right adjustments and "Roll Tide'd" the Gators.
How are your teams doing so far this season? Are there any surprises you have seen throughout the season? Who is your Heisman trophy candidate? Mine after watching the QB from Wisconsin last week, he gets my vote.. Did everything they said he would do. Until next week!

3rd week into the season

So we are 3 weeks into the season, How do you think things are going for your team? There have been only a few match ups between top 25 ranked teams. The first week Boise St beat Georgia while LSU downed Oregon. Last week there was a great game involving top ranked Oklahoma and then #5 Florida State. Even if for just being a sports fan it was one of the best games all season. The great thing about college football is all of the upsets. The weekly competition is only going to get better as either this weekend or the following teams will begin their conference play. Conference play is usually more difficult because most teams schedule lesser teams in the first few weeks to get ready for a daunting conference schedule. What are your favorite teams? What do you like about college football?

Intro

Welcome everyone to my new blog. This blog is structured and was helped to be created by my Online Publishing class, from the department of Communications at Pittsburg State University. We will have weekly updates that we are required to do, so I hope you subscribe to my blog and help me with your ideas and thoughts. My blog obviously is about College Football. What I would like to do is have the newest rankings posted under a link or something so everyone has access to that information, as well as do some writing overall on what went on, on Saturday's. So if you have any ideas or have any topics you think would spark a great discussion, please feel free to submit those ideas to me or add them as you wish to any topic. I hope this goes well, and I hope over the next few weeks that I get a little better acquainted with this and can help bring a pretty successful page together for those college football fans in all of us!
